No matter how hard Google tries, the existence of Pixel8a can no longer be concealed. The phone has been leaked multiple times, and while we still haven't heard an official confirmation from Google, the phone will arrive sooner or later. After multiple leaks of renders of the phone, we can now see the official mineral crystal-themed wallpaper for the phone.

Pixel 8a wallpapers showcase the unique style Google hopes to continue

The wallpapers on Pixel 8a are very similar to what we saw on previous generations of products, with some changes in appearance. Google also made sure there are wallpapers in both light and dark modes, so you don’t have to worry about slightly different color schemes.

The Pixel 8a's wallpapers are called Ilmenite, Barite, and Hematite. Sources say it's also possible we'll get Porcelain wallpapers with light and dark gradients, but these aren't included. Last but not least, Antti Kalevi’s pattern illustrations may also become part of the wallpaper collection when the phone is launched.

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the release date of the Pixel 8a. We only know that the phone will be available sometime next year, will use a low-frequency version of TensorG3, and will have a more rounded design compared to its other sister models. Given how the TensorG3 processor operates, we can also expect the phone to come with some generative AI features, but we don't yet know the scope of those features.
