At 18:00 last night, the satellite Internet technology test satellite was successfully launched at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center.This mission is the 498th flight of the Long March series of launch vehicles. The launch system consists of the Changer Ding rocket/Yuanzheng 3 upper stage.

This satellite Internet technology test satellite was developed by the Microsatellite Innovation Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Shanghai Microsatellite Engineering Center).

It is understood that the satellite Internet technology test satellite is to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of satellite Internet technology and lay the foundation for the construction of larger-scale satellite Internet in the future.

The Microsatellite Innovation Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences issued a document stating that this mission is the institute’s 50th satellite launch mission. So far, 96 satellites covering communications, navigation, remote sensing, science, micro-nano and other fields have been successfully launched.
