On March 14, Intel disclosed in a document that the total value of new CEO Chen Liwu's salary package was approximately US$69 million. According to the document, Chen Liwu’s basic annual salary is US$1 million and he has the opportunity to receive performance bonuses of up to 200%. In addition, he will receive two long-term incentives: a long-term equity award worth $14.4 million and a stock performance award worth $17 million, both of which will vest over five years.

The document also shows that Chen Liwu will receive stock options worth US$9.6 million and a new employee option award worth US$25 million. As one of the conditions for his appointment, Chen Liwu has agreed to purchase $25 million worth of Intel stock at his own expense within 30 days after taking office.
