The original slide included only a quote from Apple product marketing director Ronak Shah, which described a "core use case" for iMessage that was said to be similar to Facebook. Another slide titled "Snapchat in 2020: Competitors are succeeding, not just Meta apps," said "TikTok, Insta, Facebook, Messengers and YouTube" are "thriving."
The details weren't particularly appealing; at most they looked like someone was juggling—or at least trying to be—slides from an internal meeting at another company.
The leak is also reminiscent of court documents Sony shared in Microsoft's antitrust trial in mid-2023, revealing PlayStation secrets by hiding information in marker — making the darker printing ink underneath visible under the bright light of a document scanner.
