my country's first batch of Scorpion A drone systems dedicated to artificial weather modification were successfully delivered at Zigong Fengming General Airport recently. It is a large-scale commercial three-engine fixed-wing UAV independently developed by my country and has completely independent intellectual property rights, marking another solid and powerful step that my country has taken in the field of UAV technology.
The Twin-tailed Scorpion A UAV is carefully built by Sichuan Tengdun Science and Technology Co., Ltd. It is a large-scale three-engine, modular, multi-purpose, medium-altitude and long-endurance fixed-wing UAV system.Since it soared into the blue sky for the first time in January 2020, its application scope has continued to expand, showing its talents in many key fields such as forest and grass patrol, artificial weather modification, emergency rescue, etc., showing excellent practicality and adaptability.

In terms of technological innovation, the Scorpion A drone adopts a unique three-engine and three-electric system design, and this innovation has achieved remarkable results. On the one hand, its performance has been significantly improved in terms of wide-area deployment, short take-off and landing, and high-altitude operations, and can better adapt to complex and changeable operating environments; on the other hand, the safety and reliability of the system have also been greatly enhanced, effectively reducing operational risks and providing a solid guarantee for the smooth execution of various tasks.

It is understood that the Scorpion A UAV system has a wide range of applications. At present, artificial rainfall operations have been carried out in 9 provinces across the country, and the combined area of these provinces accounts for 50% of my country's land area.
Not only that, it also played a key role in major emergency rescue missions such as the Yajiang forest fire rescue, making great contributions to controlling fires and reducing losses. In meteorological monitoring work such as the observation of Typhoon Nangka, Scorpion A also performed well.
