According to Reuters, U.S. President Trump said on Friday that he may again extend the deadline for ByteDance to divest TikTok's U.S. assets. A few days ago, the White House just opened its official TikTok account. Since taking office, Trump has been unwilling to implement the "sell or ban" law introduced by the United States against TikTok in 2024. He has given TikTok a grace period three times, most recently extending the deadline to September 17 this year.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Trump dismissed bipartisan security concerns about TikTok and said his administration would pay attention to any issues.

Regarding the sale of TikTok's U.S. business, Trump said: "We only need to extend the deadline slightly until the relevant complex issues are resolved."

Asked if he was worried about privacy or national security issues raised by TikTok, Trump said: "I'm not actually worried. I think it's been grossly exaggerated... I'm a fan of TikTok."
