Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof said that China has agreed to resume the delivery of Nexperia chips from Chinese factories."China informed us that they will allow Nexperia to resume supply from Chinese factories," Schoof said in an interview on the sidelines of a climate summit in Belém, Brazil.
Nexperia is a subsidiary of Wingtech Technology and is headquartered in the Netherlands. China has retaliated by imposing export restrictions on components from Nexperia's Chinese factory, which exports about half of its pre-crisis output.
The condition for resuming supply is that the Dutch government must give up control of Nexperia.
Schoof said the bottleneck was resolved through cooperation between the Netherlands, Germany and the European Commission, as well as recent talks between Dutch and Chinese government officials.
