Recently,The domestic manned airship Xiangyun AS700 completed the round trip from Jingmen to Wuhan, achieving the country's first commercial flight of a manned airship.As an important weapon of a great power, the AS700 is a new type of soft, quasi-balanced airship independently developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China. It obtained the type certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China in December 2023 and will commence trial operation in August 2024.
This is also my country's first civilian manned airship independently developed in accordance with airworthiness standards and regulations and with completely independent intellectual property rights.
The AS700 has a maximum take-off weight of 4150 kg, a maximum range of 700 kilometers, and a maximum flight time of 10 hours.The maximum flight speed is 100 kilometers per hour and the maximum number of passengers can be 10.
The airship adopts a conventional single-bag layout, a streamlined airbag shape, an "X"-shaped layout of a rigid tail, and a non-retractable single-point landing gear.
It is reported that AS700 is mainly used in aerial tours, emergency rescue, anti-terrorism and stability maintenance, urban security, aerial geophysical exploration and other fields.
