Raspberry Pi officials announced a round of product price increases last year due to high memory demand. Now, affected by the continued surge in memory prices in 2026, they have once again raised the prices of many products. This adjustment covers all Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 5 and Compute Module 4 and Compute Module 5 products equipped with at least 2GB of memory, with the maximum increase reaching $60 per unit.

Raspberry Pi said that industry-wide tight memory supply and rising prices have forced the company to make simultaneous adjustments to the pricing of its existing product lines. According to the latest plan announced, the price of 2GB memory configuration products will increase by $10, 4GB will increase by $15, 8GB will increase by $30, and the 16GB version will increase by $60. This means that the acquisition cost of mid-to-high memory versions of Raspberry Pi devices in the global market will increase significantly, which may affect the purchasing decisions of some cost-sensitive education, maker and industrial projects.
However, Raspberry Pi also emphasized that not all models will be affected by this round of price increases. Raspberry Pi Zero and Raspberry Pi 3, which use LPDDR2 memory, still have "several years' usage" in inventory. These two product lines will not adjust their prices for the time being, and they can still maintain the original price system and supply rhythm in the short term.
Industry analysts believe that in the context of the overall rise in global DRAM prices, the Raspberry Pi price adjustment is a passive follow-up adjustment, reflecting the high sensitivity of single-board computer manufacturers to changes in upstream storage costs. For users who rely on Raspberry Pi for prototype development or large-scale deployment, the new round of price increases will further push up the overall project budget and may also prompt some customers to re-weigh configuration choices between different memory capacity versions.
