Recently, Alibaba has open sourced three new medium-sized models, including Qwen3.5-35B-A3B, Qwen3.5-122B-A10B, and Qwen3.5-27B. Based on architectural innovation and training breakthroughs, the three open-sourced Qianwen 3.5 models all set new performance highs for medium-sized models, which attracted market attention. Musk commented on Alibaba's Qwen model, saying "Impressive intelligence density."
It is understood that “intelligence density” refers to the logical reasoning, knowledge reserve and task processing capabilities that a model can display under the same parameter scale or computing power consumption.
On March 2, Alibaba Qianwen announced the open source of four Qwen3.5 small-size model series: Qwen3.5-0.8B/2B/4B/9B. According to officials, this series of models inherits the powerful genes of the Qwen3.5 family, adopts native multi-modal training and the latest model architecture, and exhibits excellent performance to meet different needs from extreme resource constraints to high-performance lightweight applications.
