A foreign user encountered a bizarre and unpleasant experience when shopping for a graphics card online on Amazon. The express delivery he received was not the 5090 he was longing for but a box of washing powder.

According to the user's Reddit post, he ordered a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 WindForce OC graphics card for about $3,200. When he received the goods, he was cautious and recorded an unboxing video. As a result, the outer packaging of the package seemed to be sealed, but the packaging box of the graphics card itself was damaged. The original manufacturer's seal was cut and reattached with transparent tape, and the original manufacturer's mark was covered with a suspicious barcode. After opening it, there was actually a pack of washing powder weighing about one kilogram.
The buyer contacted Amazon customer service and provided an unboxing video. However, after several days of email communication, the customer service representative informed him that after investigation, "no mistakes were found on the part of the seller" and refused to refund him.
After subsequent investigation, it was found that the product was sold by a third-party seller named "FAB World Point". According to the user, he also found comments from other buyers who encountered similar situations when ordering graphics cards.
