U.S. President Donald Trump said in a magazine interview published on Monday that he should have asked for more Intel shares on behalf of the U.S. government. The Trump administration last year took a 10% stake in Intel and announced an investment of about $10 billion in the chipmaker to build new or expand factories within the United States.

Eight months after the deal closed, the U.S. government’s stake in Intel was worth more than $50 billion.
"Does this get to me? Does anyone know that I caused this?" Trump complained to the magazine.
When asked about the government's exit strategy, the report said Trump believed stocks could be sold off gradually and slowly without causing stock prices to plummet.
Trump said: "Intel should be the largest company in the world right now." He said: "If I had been president earlier, Intel would be able to win all these businesses by now."
