According to statistical analysis by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers,From January to June 2026, the top ten companies (groups) in automobile sales sold a total of 12.649 million vehicles, accounting for 84.2% of total automobile sales. The top ten are: SAIC, BYD, Geely Holding, China FAW, Chery Holding, Changan Automobile, Dongfeng Motor, BAIC Group, Guangzhou Automobile Group, and Great Wall Motor.

Compared with the same period last year, the sales of Geely Holding, Chery Holding, Guangzhou Automobile Group and Great Wall Motors increased to varying degrees, while the sales of the remaining six companies declined to varying degrees.
In addition, Clean Technica recently announced global new energy vehicle registration data from January to May 2026, and China Automotive Digital Research compiled and produced a sales ranking of this data.
The ranking shows that, except for the two Tesla models in the top ten, the remaining eight seats are all occupied by Chinese brand models.
Specifically, Tesla Model Y topped the list with sales of 408,200 units, maintaining a large lead with its extensive global market presence. Ranking second is Geely Xingyuan/EX2, with cumulative sales of 183,000 units from January to May, making it the highest-ranking domestic model on the list. Tesla Model 3 ranked third with 164,000 units.
