Microsoft has long been promoting the popularization of new technologies in various products, among which artificial intelligence has attracted the most attention. However, it is the subtleties in these products that often reveal that Windows 11, as Microsoft's core operating system, is still not polished in some areas. Although these details have little impact on the basic use of the system, they will quietly reduce the overall operating experience.

Dark mode is one example of this visual inconsistency. In theory, turning on dark mode should allow the entire system interface to achieve a global black transformation, but in actual experience, this feature does not cover all interface elements. One of the most glaring "legacy areas" is the Properties panel, which has long remained light regardless of whether the user chooses a dark or light theme. This design creates a sharp visual contrast with the rest of the system, which feels jarring whenever you notice it.

Fortunately, this situation is finally expected to change. A modern property panel UI that supports dark mode has been found inWindows 11 Experimental Build 26300.8935It quietly appeared in the beta version. Although this new design is currently only effective for the properties dialog box of deleted files and has not yet fully covered all property panels of the entire operating system, it also sends a clear signal: Microsoft is finally starting to make this part of the traditional interface visually unified with the rest of the system.

However, it may take some time before this improvement is fully rolled out. At present, this feature has not yet achieved full system coverage in the preview channel, and needs to go through the subsequent public release process. Therefore, even if the changes seem small, there is still a long way to go before it can be fully implemented.
