Mikhail Parakhin, who was appointed as the new director of Microsoft's Windows and Web Experience team in September, has spent the past few days responding to comments and suggestions made online by Windows 11 users. On Tuesday, he responded to a user's request to modify the Windows login interface.
The user name on X (formerly Twitter) is "ntoslinux". He asked Parakhin if it was possible to preserve the date and time on the screen after the user exits the Windows login screen. "It annoys me a lot when I try to wake up my laptop to check the time (but don't want to log in)," he said.
Parakhin replied to the message, stating that he had the same experience as "ntoslinux". He replied: "I have the same problem. We need to fix it, I agree."
A few days ago, Parakhin responded to a user's request to modify the Windows Start menu so that they could scroll through all apps without having to click "All Apps." Parakhin responded that the current way the Start menu scrolls through apps "annoys me too," and said he would push the Windows team to make the change.
Unconfirmed reports suggest we may get a small "Moment 5" feature update for Windows 11 in early 2024, followed by a larger Windows operating system update later in the new year. However, it seems that Parakhin will try to make some small but still noticeable changes to Windows alongside the big operating system update in 2024.
