This year we have seen many foldable phones continue to be updated, but OnePlus Open, the first foldable screen that has attracted much attention, has not been released yet and was delayed before. As far as we know, the reason for the delay is that the company has chosen Samsung as the display supplier instead of the previously selected supplier. In addition to this, the phone has also undergone huge changes in terms of design. Changes like this usually lead to delays, but the latest news is that the phone may be available next month.

Reliable source Max Jambor hinted that OnePlus Open will be officially released on the 19th of next month. Jambor said the company had mentioned the phone would be released "soon."

The information Max has leaked about OnePlus in the past has been accurate, so we have every reason to believe that the OnePlus Open will indeed launch on October 19th. If this is true, its competitors will be Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Pixel Fold, two of the most popular foldable phones this year. We're excited to see what OnePlus does to improve the foldable formula, since the devices we've seen so far are more or less based on the same DNA (although OnePlus' products are likely to share Oppo's design as well).

Considering that October 19th is not that far away, we can expect more details from the OnePlus Open to be revealed in the coming days. We've seen a lot of renders, and I just want to see how this foldable phone holds its own in terms of performance, camera, battery, and most importantly durability.
