According to the official public account of “Chengdu High-tech”,Today, BOE’s 8.6th generation AMOLED production line project was officially signed and launched in Chengdu High-tech Zone.As China's first high-generation AMOLED production line and the world's first batch of high-generation AMOLED production lines, BOE's 8.6-generation AMOLED production line project is expected to achieve a historic transition from "following" to "running parallel" to "leading" in my country's OLED display field.
According to reports, the total investment in the project is approximately 63 billion yuan, with a planned area of approximately 1,400 acres, and the planned product is an 8.6-generation AMOLED panel.
The project products are mainly positioned at medium-sized AMOLED panels, adopting a technical route that is different from the existing 6-generation AMOLED panels (mainly used in mobile phones).It effectively improves the slicing efficiency of medium-sized products and reduces production costs. It is mainly used in IT products such as mid-to-high-end notebook computers and tablet computers.
At the same time, by adopting new OLED display technology, BOE's 8.6th generation AMOLED production line can effectively improve the backplane and OLED light-emitting device preparation process, with lower power consumption and longer life, and is more suitable for the use needs of medium-sized IT products.
Of the total investment of 63 billion yuan, BOE and Chengdu City jointly raised the registered capital of the project company of 38 billion yuan, of which BOE raised and increased capital in equal proportions to 19.9994 billion yuan, and Chengdu Major Industrialization Project Phase I Equity Investment Fund Co., Ltd. and Chengdu High-tech Zone Electronic Information Industry Development Co., Ltd. raised and increased capital in equal proportions to 18.0006 billion yuan.
The difference between the total investment and registered capital of RMB 25 billion will be settled through a bank loan from the project company.
