1. Discounts displayed on the ticket purchase page
The railway 12306 App ticket purchase page has been updated with functions. The new version of the ticket purchase page can display discount information, making it easier for passengers to understand real-time fare changes.
2. When buying sleeper berth tickets, you can choose a berth online
When passengers purchase sleeper tickets on the Railway 12306 website and App, they can choose their own online berths for soft sleepers and hard sleepers on regular speed trains and soft sleepers, first-class sleepers, and second-class sleepers on EMUs.
3. Seniors over 60 years old are given priority in lower berths
When there are sufficient tickets, the system automatically identifies elderly passengers over 60 years old and gives priority to lower berths. If there are multiple people traveling together for one order, the system will automatically allocate adjacent stalls.
During the ticket purchase process, if an elderly passenger is unable to provide a mobile phone number, he or she can provide the mobile phone number of a relative or friend who can be contacted in time for verification.
4. Intelligent recommendation of transfer plans with available tickets
If direct tickets cannot be purchased during peak passenger flow periods, passengers can purchase connecting tickets to meet their travel needs by taking the train in sections.
Railway 12306 will intelligently recommend transfer plans with remaining tickets based on passenger travel needs and remaining tickets.
The railway department has currently set up convenient transfer channels within the station at 120 major stations, and arranged station staff to provide guidance services. Passengers can enter the waiting room to wait without leaving the station.
5. Increase the number of waiting orders
The number of waitlisted orders and alternative plans will be increased, the scope of redemption time options for waitlisted orders will be expanded, and temporary new passenger train seats will be allocated first to passengers who have submitted waitlisted orders, further increasing the success rate of waitlisted ticket purchases.
6. Expand the scope of ticket changes
Passengers can change tickets within the pre-sale period before driving and on the day after driving. If the ticket is changed more than 48 hours before driving, no change fee will be charged. If the ticket is changed less than 48 hours before driving and after driving, no change fee will be charged if the ticket is changed before the departure date (including the day).
Officials specifically emphasized that passengers must purchase tickets through official railway channels.The Railway 12306 website and App are the only official online train ticket sales platform of China Railway and have never authorized any third-party platform to sell train tickets.
At the same time, confirm that the payee of the ticket payment is "China Railway Network Co., Ltd." to avoid being unable to receive the refund when subsequent refunds or changes are made.
