[Jiangsu: Total retail sales of consumer goods in the province from January to August increased by 1.0% year-on-year] On September 22, the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Statistics released a brief summary of Jiangsu's economic performance from January to August. From January to August, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the province was 3.12994 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.0%. In August, the retail sales of communication equipment above designated size, cultural office supplies, and cosmetics increased by 44.7%, 41.8%, and 7.9% respectively year-on-year. Among them, the retail sales of computers and their ancillary products, and smartphones increased by 78.2% and 52.2% respectively.
