The report shows that China’s total rural consumption is growing steadily. In 2025, retail sales of rural consumer goods will reach 6.8 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%. The quality of life of rural residents continues to improve, the quality of consumer supply is upgraded, the layout of commercial networks is gradually improved, and new consumer formats are booming. The rural delivery logistics network is accelerating its expansion, and county-level logistics and distribution centers across the country have basically achieved full coverage. At the same time, county consumption vitality and resilience continue to show. The overall county consumption prosperity index in 2025 is 47.5, which is in a stable range. Among them, the service consumption prosperity sub-index is the highest among all categories, reflecting that county consumption is still showing a long-term trend of upgrading to services.
