[Kpler: If the United States bans diesel exports, it may exacerbate global supply constraints and push up prices] On September 23, energy data agency Kpler said that if the United States implements a diesel export ban, global diesel supply will further tighten and quickly push up fuel prices in Europe, Latin America, and the West Coast of the United States. Kpler said potential export restrictions would cut off Latin America and northwest Europe from access to fuel from key diesel supply sources. The move will also affect the Mediterranean region, which has already lost significant supplies of Russian diesel.
