[Samsung joins hands with KT and SK Telecom to provide support for South Korea's AI RAN project] On September 23, Samsung Electronics announced today that it has signed a contract with Korea Telecom (KT) and SK Telecom to provide support for its Artificial Intelligence Radio Access Network (AIRAN) project under the "Super Artificial Intelligence Network" plan of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Information Communications (MSIT) of South Korea. Samsung will serve as KT's exclusive global supplier and SK Telecom's main supplier respectively. Scheduled to launch in October 2026, these projects will deploy 5G Standalone (SA) private networks in a variety of industrial environments, from shipyards to petrochemical facilities, to validate AIRAN capabilities and generate real-world insights for future deployments.
