[Houthi armed forces attack two Saudi oil facilities] October 5th, Yemen’s Houthi armed forces spokesman Yahya Saraya issued a video statement on October 4th, saying that in the past 12 hours, Saudi Arabia launched 50 air strikes and missile attacks on Yemen’s capital Sana’a and Jawf, Taiz, Amran, Hodeidah and Saada provinces. Since this round of tensions escalated in early September, Saudi Arabia has launched a total of 1,460 air strikes and missile attacks on Yemen. Saraya said that in retaliation, the Houthi armed forces used missiles and drones to attack Saudi Aramco facilities in the Saudi capital Riyadh and the Khurais area that day, adding that the attacks "successfully hit the target." Saraya said that the Houthis will continue to use Yemeni-produced missiles and drones to attack Saudi military bases and oil facilities until Saudi Arabia ceases military operations and lifts its blockade on Yemen.
