[Intel and Broadcom CEOs warn: Access to funds may become a major factor restricting the artificial intelligence (AI) boom] On October 13, the CEOs of Intel and Broadcom warned that demand for computing infrastructure will continue to exceed supply, but access to funds may become a major factor restricting the artificial intelligence (AI) boom. Broadcom CEO Hock Tan said at an event in Singapore on Monday (October 12) that as the entire industry races to build infrastructure and provide computing power to support increasingly complex AI models, financing may become a greater obstacle to the expansion of AI, and its impact may even exceed the shortage of semiconductors, memory chips or electricity. Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, who appeared on the same stage, also expressed concerns about financing issues. He pointed out that capital costs are rising, and the market is also questioning whether companies that invest heavily in AI can ultimately obtain sufficient returns.
