[Investment Bank BTIG: There is a "seesaw effect" between the semiconductor index and Apple's stock price] On October 20, investment bank BTIG pointed out in its latest research report that semiconductor stocks are expected to rebound against the trend, but may still fall again later. If the trend analogy in 2000 holds true, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index may rebound 15% to 18% from last Friday's low in the next 5 to 10 days, close to the high in early October, and then weaken again. From a technical perspective, SOX is at least expected to rebound to the 20-day moving average; if the historical analogy holds true, it may further approach the October high. The report recommends reducing semiconductor exposure again after the rebound. Apple may face the opposite trend. The report pointed out that based on the recent 10-day window calculation, the correlation coefficient between Apple and SOX is approximately -0.9. Previously, SOX had retraced about 16%, the technology sector and the "Seven Technology Giants" had retraced about 9% and 5% respectively, but Apple was still close to historical highs. Based on this, the report judged that the rebound in semiconductors may be accompanied by Apple's decline, at least looking at the 50-day moving average of about $327 at the time.
