[Ministry of Civil Affairs publicly solicits opinions regarding the classification of elderly care institutions] On October 28, the Ministry of Civil Affairs publicly solicited opinions from the public on the newly revised national standard "Classification of Elderly Care Institutions" (the original standard was "Classification and Assessment of Elderly Care Institutions"). The newly revised "Classification of Elderly Care Institutions" clarifies that the classification of elderly care institutions follows the principles of "voluntary application, scientific and reasonable, quality first, emphasis on effectiveness, objectivity and fairness, and standardized procedures." Classify elderly care institutions based on a comprehensive inspection of their environment, facilities, equipment, operations management, and services. The levels of nursing homes are divided into five levels, from low to high: level one, level two, level three, level four, and level five. The higher the level, the stronger the comprehensive capabilities of the nursing home in terms of environment, facilities and equipment, operation management, and services. (CCTV News)
