[Aberdeen expects the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates in December and March] On October 29, Aberdeen Investment said that Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh remained optimistic about the U.S. economy at the latest policy meeting, but also reiterated that inflation is still too high. "We still expect the Fed to raise interest rates further in December and March, with interest rates ending at 4.25%-4.50%, which we view as more of a precautionary rate hike than an aggressive demand-squelching measure in response to high inflation," emerging markets economist Michael Langham wrote in a note.
