[PIMCO CEO: The scale of financing related to AI may increase to approximately US$10 trillion in the next five years, reaching an excessive level] On November 3, PIMCO CEO Emmanuel Roman said that the scale of financing related to artificial intelligence (AI) may increase to approximately US$10 trillion in the next five years, eventually reaching an excessive level. Roman estimates that the AI industry could generate about $2 trillion in annual financing needs over the next five years to fund capital expenditures; by comparison, the U.S. bond market is about $12 trillion. At the 2026 International Financial Leaders Investment Summit in Hong Kong on Tuesday, Roman said during a discussion with Blackstone Group President Jon Gray that the scale would eventually "become too big."
