[China's new display industry has a global market share of over 50%] On November 4th, the "2026 New Display Industry Development Report" released by the China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute today showed that China's new display industry has formed four major clusters around Beijing, the Yangtze River Delta, the Midwest and the Pearl River Delta. It is expected that during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the scale of China's new display industry will reach the trillion-yuan level. As an important interface for human-computer interaction in the digital economy, the new display industry will also support multiple trillion-yuan terminal application markets such as consumer electronics, automotive electronics, industrial electronics, medical health, and virtual reality. Hu Chunming, executive deputy secretary-general of the LCD branch of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association, said that in 2025, the output value of China's new display industry will reach 838.6 billion yuan, with a global market share of more than 53%. The display panel shipment area will exceed 220 million square meters, accounting for 77% of the global market.
