[After 8 years, the working procedures for formulating the rare disease catalog in China are being revised] On November 4, according to the National Health Commission, in order to further strengthen the management of rare diseases in China, improve the scientificity and rationality of formulating the rare disease catalog, and strengthen the diagnosis, treatment and protection of rare diseases in China, the National Health Commission and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine revised the "Working Procedures for Formulating the Catalog of Rare Diseases" formulated in 2018, forming the "Working Procedures for Formulating the Catalog of Rare Diseases (2026 Edition)".
