A national geological disaster monitoring and early warning network has been initially established, forming a new three-dimensional prevention and control pattern of "human defense + technical prevention". As of September 2026, there are more than 74,000 automated monitoring stations and 310,000 sets of various monitoring equipment in operation across the country. A total of 444 disasters have been successfully predicted, 8,027 casualties have been avoided, and all-weather technology has built a strong defense line for the safety of people's lives and property. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, China will accelerate iterative upgrades of equipment, tackle high-altitude and extreme weather adaptation technologies, build a new monitoring equipment system, and continue to improve the accuracy of disaster relocation.
