[The country’s first non-invasive brain-computer interface clinical research project completed and filed] On November 6, the “Exploratory Study on the Safety and Feasibility of SCS Combined with Non-Invasive Brain-Controlled Hybrid Exoskeleton Training for the Treatment of Lower Limb Movement Disorders in Chronic Stroke” project officially completed the National Health Commission’s clinical research filing on new biomedical technologies on the 5th. This is the first non-invasive brain-computer interface clinical research project to be completed in the country since the implementation of the "Regulations on the Management of Clinical Research and Translational Application of New Biomedical Technologies" in May 2026, marking that China's cutting-edge non-invasive brain-computer interface technology has officially entered a new stage of standardized clinical research. The core equipment used in this project is the world's first brain-machine-spine-body high-performance composite neuromodulation rehabilitation system "Shen Gong-Shenchi", which was led by the brain-computer Haihe Laboratory team. It is mainly used for neurological rehabilitation intervention treatment of patients with chronic stroke and lower limb movement disorders at the plateau stage.
