[Phison: NAND Flash supply will still be tight next year, AI-driven demand for semiconductors has just begun] "Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily" reported on the 4th that Pan Jiancheng, CEO of Phison, said that during a recent meeting with two Flash original manufacturers, the other party bluntly said "I don't know how big the gap will be next year." This shows that the supply of NAND Flash is still quite tight, so the market no longer needs to discuss whether Flash will be out of stock. The real key is that when supply and demand are tight, "who has the ability to get more resources" will determine the future competitiveness of enterprises. Pan Jiancheng pointed out that the demand for semiconductors driven by AI has just begun. Judging from TSMC's continued expansion of AI-related production capacity, more AI chip shipments will inevitably increase the usage of DRAM and Flash. In the future, AI's consumption of semiconductor production capacity may continue for two to thirty years, and it will not quickly turn into oversupply within one or two years just because memory manufacturers expand production.
