[Sun Haiyan Meets with a Delegation of Senior Diplomats from Pakistan] On the morning of September 7, Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, met with a delegation of senior diplomats composed of Pakistan’s former Foreign Secretary and former Ambassador to China in Beijing. Sun Haiyan said that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping and Pakistani leaders, the two countries have maintained close high-level exchanges, solidly advanced practical cooperation, and achieved fruitful results in the high-quality joint construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The steady progress of China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership cannot be separated from the continuous promotion of successive Pakistani ambassadors to China. China is willing to take the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to work with Pakistan to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, accelerate the construction of a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era, and set an example for building a community with a shared future for neighboring countries. Pakistan highly appreciates the fruitful results achieved by Pakistan and China since the establishment of diplomatic relations 75 years ago, emphasizing that friendship with China is the cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign relations and a high degree of consensus among all sectors of Pakistani society.
