[National pork prices have risen for four consecutive weeks. Analysts judge that the increase in meat prices will not be too large in the future] September 8th, a reporter recently visited the Beijing wholesale market and learned that pork prices have rebounded moderately driven by growing demand. Data show that on September 8, the average wholesale price of white-striped pigs in Beijing’s Xinfadi Market was 14 yuan per kilogram, an increase of 12% from August 1. According to reports, the rise in pork prices is partly due to the cooler weather and increased meat consumption. In addition, the decline in the number of breeding sows has also led to expectations of rising pig prices. Liu Tong, a market analyst at Xinfadi in Beijing, judged that overall, the recovery trend is relatively mild. Since the stock of woolly pigs is still relatively sufficient, the increase in meat prices in the future will not be too great. From a national perspective, national pork prices and live pig prices are also showing an upward trend. According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in the first week of September, the national live pig price was 11.59 yuan per kilogram, an increase of 0.3% from the previous month, and the pork price was 21.23 yuan per kilogram, an increase of 0.2% from the previous month. Both the live pig price and the pork price have increased for four consecutive weeks. (CCTV Finance)
