[Iran criticizes the IAEA Board of Governors for passing the Iranian nuclear resolution] September 10th, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Garibabadi criticized the resolution on the Iranian nuclear issue passed by the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors that day and jointly promoted by the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. The resolution advocated submitting relevant Iranian nuclear issues to the United Nations Security Council. Garibabadi posted on social media that "this approach can neither make up for the failure of the relevant country's policies and actions, nor achieve any results in the United Nations Security Council." Reza Najafi, Iran's representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency, criticized the resolution at a meeting of the agency's board of governors as a "political tool" rather than a "technical document." Member states of the International Atomic Energy Agency held a heated debate at the meeting that day. The resolution passed by the vote advocates referring Iran's so-called "violation of its nuclear non-proliferation obligations" to the United Nations Security Council.
