[U.S. maritime blockade continues, severely hampering Iran's oil exports] September 11th: It has been nearly two months since the United States re-implemented a maritime blockade. Iran's oil exports continue to be severely restricted, further exacerbating the tight supply in the global crude oil market. Images from the EU's Sentinel satellite show that there have been no supertankers loading crude oil at Khark Island, Iran's main oil export terminal, for at least the past two weeks. Tanker tracking data shows that Iranian oil exports in August were only a fraction of pre-war levels.
