[Verizon expands 6G Innovation Forum to complete field testing of network-native sensing and AI applications] On September 14th, US telecom operator Verizon announced that nine companies including Amazon Cloud Technology, Nvidia, Intel, and Cisco have joined its 6G Innovation Forum, further expanding the total number of members. Verizon also announced the completion of two network-native sensing and communications (ISAC) field tests based on 5G Advanced, including using wireless signals to detect crowd density in real time and maintaining high-speed mobile communications while tracking drones and ground vehicles. In addition, the company demonstrated an AI sports assistant prototype based on edge networks, Meta AI glasses and small language models, which can provide information such as real-time scores and player data.
