[China National Nuclear Corporation and the IAEA signed a cooperation agreement in the field of high-temperature gas-cooled reactors] September 15th, on the opening day of the 70th General Assembly of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna on September 14th, local time, the China Exhibition with the theme of "Small Reactors and Comprehensive Utilization of Nuclear Energy" was held simultaneously. According to the cooperation agreement signed by CNNC and the IAEA in the field of high-temperature reactors, the two parties agreed to carry out exchanges and cooperation in the areas of research and development, design, construction, commissioning, operation, supply chain, and talent training of high-temperature gas-cooled reactor nuclear power plants. This means that the world can share China’s practical experience in high-temperature gas-cooled reactor projects, which will further assist the global promotion of high-temperature gas-cooled reactors in low-carbon scenarios such as nuclear power generation, industrial heating, and hydrogen production.
