Apple CEO Ternus admits iPhone Duo is out of stock and doesn’t know when it will be resolved

Abstract:

According to Reuters, Apple CEO John Ternus said in an interview after announcing the financial report on Monday that Apple is currently unable to meet market demand for iPhone Duo, and there is no timetable for when it will be able to catch up with demand.

"As of now, iPhone Duo is still in supply constraint. The capacity ramp is going well and we are working hard to deliver it to as many customers as possible, but at this time we cannot predict when supply and demand will be balanced.

Ternus also talked about the iPhone Duo screen cracking problem. He said that only a "very small percentage" of iPhone Duos were returned due to display problems, and Apple was replacing these phones for users.

Consumers who currently place orders for iPhone Duo are expected to wait until January next year to receive the goods. Apple retail stores also have very little stock available for online reservation.

Last week, Apple said it had noticed problems with the internal screens of some iPhone Duo devices and recommended that consumers who encounter related problems contact AppleCare for a replacement.
