Abstract:
Recently, a disassembly blogger in Huaqiangbei released an iPhone Duo disassembly video, pointing out that there are obvious internal structural differences between the Chinese version and the US version of the phone. The relevant statement quickly triggered a lot of discussion among digital enthusiasts.
Relevant Apple technical personnel responded that it is temporarily impossible to directly verify the accuracy of the third-party statement. During the parts procurement and mass production process of iPhone Duo, there may indeed be individual adaptability differences between different regional versions, but the official is currently unable to disclose specific parts difference details.
We have made relevant reports before. According to the complete teardown comparison released by digital blogger Yang Changshun, early Internet rumors claimed that the Chinese version of iPhone Duo is missing the satellite communication module, 6GHz Wi-Fi antenna, 25W wireless charging circuit and corresponding radio frequency components. Based on this, many users calculated that the price difference corresponding to these missing parts is about 800 to 1,000 yuan, pointing out that the price of the Chinese version is inflated and the price/performance ratio is seriously insufficient.
The previously widely circulated statement that the National Bank version has cut off the UWB chip has been directly falsified by the public specifications of Apple's official website in China. Apple's official website clearly states that the National Bank iPhone Duo is equipped with a second-generation ultra-wideband technology chip. The relevant ranging and spatial perception functions are not castrated at all, and the hardware configuration is consistent with the overseas version.

Most of the functional differences between the Chinese version and the US version discovered during the disassembly process are due to the mandatory restrictions imposed by relevant domestic regulations. It is not Apple's unilateral initiative to cut off hardware configurations in order to reduce costs, nor is there any deliberate reduction of configurations for the domestic market.
The first is the satellite communication function. The US version of the model can directly send SOS distress signals and real-time location sharing in areas where ground operators have no signal. The National Bank version actually has built-in corresponding hardware modules, but is restricted by domestic communications regulations and cannot enable related services. The hardware itself has not been removed.
The second is the 6GHz Wi-Fi function. The National Bank model is restricted by domestic radio management regulations. Wi-Fi 7 can only be used in the two conventional frequency bands of 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and cannot use the higher 6GHz frequency band. Therefore, the measured wireless network transmission rate is significantly lower than that of the US model that can be used in all frequency bands, and the corresponding antenna hardware itself has not been deleted.
Finally, there is the difference in wireless charging power. The Chinese version of MagSafe wireless charging can only reach a maximum power of 15W, while the US version can reach a maximum of 25W. The parameter gap between the two also comes from the frequency specification requirements related to domestic wireless charging, and it is not Apple's sole purpose of skimping on charging hardware configuration for the Chinese market.
It is rumored on the Internet that the National Bank iPhone Duo deliberately reduces configurations and saves a thousand yuan price difference. It is completely untrue. All functional differences come from the compliance requirements of different regions. Users should not believe the misleading propaganda that the US version of the iPhone Duo completely crushes the National Bank. The functional experience of the National Bank version is fully adapted to the domestic network environment, and there are no hardware flaws.
