Abstract:
Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of global marketing, recently released a 17-second warm-up video through social platforms, officially announcing that Apple will hold a new product launch event on October 13. In the video, two participants embroidered the classic Apple logo, and the words "Welcome home" and "October 13 (October 13)" appeared on the final screen, clearly pointing to the upcoming new product release.
Although Apple has not announced a specific product list, the theme of this event is considered to be closely related to the smart home ecology. The "Welcome Home" slogan has been widely interpreted by the industry as Apple's focus on products for home scenarios.
According to the news currently circulating, the new product that the outside world is most concerned about is the long-rumored HomePad. This device is considered to be Apple’s new control center for the smart home market, and may undertake functions such as home automation management, intelligent voice interaction, and multi-device collaborative control.
In addition to HomePad, the new generation of HomePod mini and the new version of Apple TV are also regarded as the most likely products to debut. Both devices are expected to receive hardware upgrades and further strengthen their linkage capabilities with Apple's artificial intelligence and smart home platforms.
At the same time, there are also rumors in the market that Apple is promoting a series of home automation accessories plans, including smart door locks, security cameras, floodlight cameras, smart temperature control devices and other products. However, some of these products may be launched by partner brands and may not be sold directly under the Apple brand.

It is worth noting that the preview format of this event is slightly different from Apple’s traditional conference. In addition to the online pre-heating video, Apple also sent invitations to some media for the New York event, and will hold an experience event called "Apple Experience" on the morning of October 13, local time. This shows that Apple may not only arrange to release content online, but also simultaneously open new product experience sessions to the media.
Recently, multiple sources have shown that Apple is elevating its smart home business to an unprecedentedly important position. As AI functions are gradually integrated into home scenes, Apple hopes to create a more complete home ecosystem through new hardware products and expand its influence in the smart home market.
As October 13th approaches, Apple will soon reveal the true appearance of this series of new products. Judging from the signals released so far, this event is likely to become Apple's most important product release in the smart home field in recent years.
