Summary:
Apple confirmed in the support document that the wall-mounted version of HomeView is packaged with only the device and documentation, and does not come with a USB-C power adapter, USB-C cable or wall mount. Users need to purchase a compatible rack and power supply solution separately; depending on the rack design, a separate USB-C cable and power adapter can be used, or it can be connected to the mains for hard-wired installation.

The wall-mounted version requires a USB-C power adapter of at least 20 watts and supports 9V, 2.22A or higher output. When the power supply is not up to standard, the device screen will display a "power adapter not supported" or insufficient power supply prompt. By comparison, the desktop version requires at least a 30-watt, 15-volt, 2-amp adapter, and the package comes with a 1.5-meter USB-C cable and a 30-watt power adapter.
Both HomeViews are priced at US$299 in the United States, and the wall-mounted version has not been reduced in price because it does not include a power supply and installation accessories in the box. In the Schneider Home package provided by Apple, the USB-C wall mount starts at US$59.95, and the AC hard-wired rack starts at US$79.95; the PoE wired rack is expected to be available in early 2027, priced at US$129.95. The USB-C wall mount also requires an additional power adapter of at least 20 watts.
HomeView is equipped with a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and A18 chip. The wall-mounted version is about 0.98 cm thick and weighs about 286 grams. The desktop version weighs about 952 grams and is equipped with a bass unit and passive radiator; the wall-mounted version uses only two full-range speakers. Apple has opened pre-orders, and the two models are scheduled to go on sale on November 13.
