GTA 6 leaker threatens to release full game version, but whether he actually has the full version remains unconfirmed

📅 2026-10-11

Abstract:

The leaked GTA 6 account named Cyberleek recently issued a statement on its website, claiming to have a build version of the game that can be played from beginning to end, including a complete plot and ending subtitles, and threatened to make it public if the market value of its associated meme currency reaches 30 million US dollars. The account also stated that Take-Two Interactive could prevent the leak if it promised to release a physical disc version and publicly apologize; the statement did not set a deadline.

This threat is currently just a unilateral statement by the leaker. There is no independent evidence that he has a complete version of the game, and there is no indication that Take-Two has accepted its conditions. Cyberleek recently released about 25 minutes of purported live footage of GTA 6, showing that it may have access to game development materials. However, the authenticity of the footage, whether the version is old or new, and whether it comes from a complete and runnable game build cannot be confirmed. Insider Gaming pointed out that some outsiders suspect that the previously leaked content comes from an earlier version, so the so-called "complete game" may also be a bluff or an opportunity to hype.

This incident also involves cryptocurrencies associated with the leaker. Kotaku reported that Cyberleek had previously withdrawn about $250,000 from its meme currency, and the price of the currency fell rapidly thereafter; therefore, the new statement linked whether to release the game with the market value of the token, which also raised questions about using the popularity of GTA 6 to drive up the price of the token for personal profit. Even if the token reaches its set market cap, it remains unpredictable whether the game will actually be made public.

Rockstar Games has previously traced the identity of accounts related to leaked videos. Kotaku reported that Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two issued subpoenas to Discord and Microsoft in August, seeking user information related to the release and dissemination of relevant videos, but the progress of the subsequent investigation has not been made public. Take-Two and Rockstar have yet to publicly respond to Cyberleek’s latest threat.

The release date of "Grand Theft Auto VI" currently listed on Rockstar's official website is November 19, 2026, and the first platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S; it is less than six weeks before the planned release. Whether the physical version will be launched simultaneously has not yet been officially confirmed. If the leaker is able to reveal a complete, runnable version, it may lead to large-scale spoilers of the plot and affect the release schedule; however, at this stage, it should be regarded as an unverified threat tied to token promotion, rather than a confirmed game leak.
