As Apple's first foldable screen phone, iPhone Duo adopts a left and right inward folding design. When closed, the outer screen is 5.4 inches, and when unfolded, it is a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR screen. Apple claims that the internal screen area is 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max and 80% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro.
Apple said that the Duo inner screen is composed of ten layers of ultra-thin structures, using a nano-textured surface to reduce reflections. The optically transparent adhesive material between layers can produce slight sliding when folded to reduce stress and creases.
