Abstract:
As the new flagship mobile phone iPhone 18 Pro series is officially launched globally, Apple has launched a unique interactive treasure hunt activity in its retail stores (Apple Store). The Apple team has cleverly hidden multiple miniature handwritten "hello" easter egg logos in the corners of each major directly-operated store, inviting customers to the store to experience the new phone while conducting a fun camera exploration.

This offline interaction is not only a tribute to the design legacy of the classic handwritten "Hello" on the first-generation Macintosh screen in 1984, but also an extremely clever display of hardware capabilities. In order to match the new periscope telephoto lens and up to 8x high-quality zoom capability of the iPhone 18 Pro, these "hello" logos are designed to be extremely small and deliberately placed at the far end of the booth, high on the display shelf, or in a hidden corner of the decorative wall that is out of the reach of customers.

Under normal naked eye observation, it is extremely difficult for customers to discern the specific content of these microtexts. However, when they pick up the iPhone 18 Pro on the stand and turn on the telephoto zoom function, the originally blurry corners can clearly show exquisite "Hello" lines on the screen. This marketing method that combines trial experience with offline interaction eliminates the need for tedious introduction of specifications, allowing customers to intuitively feel the analytical power and optical performance of the new telephoto camera during a fun treasure hunt.
With the influx of people on the launch day, many customers and technology enthusiasts from all over the world have posted on social platforms the miniature "Hello" photos they took with iPhone 18 Pro at the Apple Store. Industry analysts pointed out that by embedding interactive Easter eggs in retail scenes, Apple not only successfully created hot topics, but also injected more humanistic aesthetics and immersive fun into offline real-machine experiential marketing.
