On September 13, Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro series will be available for pre-order at 8pm on September 12. Data released by Taobao’s flash sales show that in the first hour of pre-sale, sales of the iPhone 18 Pro series doubled compared to the same period last year as the iPhone 17 Pro series.
The pre-order models include iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, with starting prices of 9,999 yuan and 10,999 yuan respectively. A few minutes after the pre-sale started, some of the first batch of supplies were sold out, and "Can't get Apple 18" topped the Weibo hot search list. According to Taobao flash sales, the iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB burgundy red version became the most popular model on the day of launch.
Driven by the pre-sales of new phones, the transaction volume of all Apple hardware products on Taobao’s flash sale platform increased by more than 25 times that night compared with normal days. The platform stated that some popular models will be replenished in batches in the future.
This Taobao flash sale is connected to more than 4,000 Apple authorized stores across the country. Once the iPhone 18 Pro series goes on sale, it can be delivered as quickly as 18 minutes in some areas.
In the delivery process, new machines will be sealed and packaged in authorized stores and delivered by specially trained riders. Pick-up and receipt will be handed over in person. Taobao flash sale stated that if the goods are lost or damaged due to logistics reasons, the platform will provide full compensation.
