Abstract:
In response to the recent rumors of the "Don't Blink" bizarre advertisement that have been widely circulated on various social platforms across the Internet, iQiyi has issued a public response, clarifying that this content is entirely the product of a spontaneous prank by netizens.
Recently, a screenshot spliced with iQiyi playback interface elements has been widely circulated on social platforms. The system prompt that pops up in the screenshot is marked with the words "Don't Blink" in the official name of the platform. It also seriously claims that the system cannot determine whether the user missed the advertising content at the moment of blinking. In order to ensure that the advertisement can be played completely, the entire advertisement will automatically restart from the position where the user last blinked.

As soon as this completely counter-intuitive and outrageous setting came out, a large number of netizens complained collectively. They all joked that if the platform really dared to launch this function, no one would even dare to blink their eyes when watching videos in the future. If their eyes were sore, they would have to click pause first before they could close their eyes to rest. This is completely taking the idea of advertising duration to the extreme.
In response to this spoof rumor that is getting more and more outrageous, iQiyi spokesperson "Peach Factory is online" directly responded to the article, joking in a very down-to-earth tone, saying that if you are having a big holiday, please stop spreading rumors.
