As the best hardware platform currently known to experience "GTA6", PS5 Pro is out of stock at almost all retailers, including the official PlayStation store. Scalpers will naturally not miss this opportunity - on eBay, PS5 Pro is generally sold for between US$1,200 and US$1,500 (approximately 8,600 and 10,800 yuan), which is much higher than the official suggested retail price of US$900 (approximately 6,500 yuan). This wave of shortages is not without warning. According to statistics, up to 77% of pre-orders for "GTA 6" came from PS5 players. After the extended version demo was broadcast last weekend, PS5 console sales surged 606% in a single week. As the game’s November 19th release date approaches, PS5 Pro will only become more expensive and harder to buy.
Sony clearly underestimated players' desire for "the strongest "GTA 6" experience." Rockstar and Sony have confirmed that "GTA 6" will be exclusively optimized for PS5 Pro - which will undoubtedly further stimulate demand.
