Previously, the actual footage of GTA6 released was very limited. Before the Netflix extended version of the live demo was launched, players had been worried about the quality of the game's gameplay. Now that this concern has been basically dispelled, Rockstar North development director and co-head Rob Nelson said that he hopes to calm another major concern of players-whether the game will be delayed again.
In an interview with "Famitsu", the reporter mentioned that after watching the live demo of the extended version of GTA6 premiered on Netflix, he no longer worried about the quality of the game, but there was still one doubt: whether the game could be officially launched in November.
GTA6 has experienced two schedule adjustments: the first was postponed from 2025 to 2026, and the second was postponed by six months from May 26 to November 19. However, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has always insisted that the November sales window remains unchanged, and has reiterated his confidence in this schedule in interviews many times.
Now Nelson has also followed up and confirmed that GTA6 will be launched on time in November. "We originally hoped that (after watching the extended version demo) everyone would no longer have to worry about quality issues," he said. "We are very satisfied with the finished product, and the game will definitely be released as scheduled."
As recognized by the industry as the most anticipated game in history, both GTA6 and Rockstar are under tremendous pressure. The studio obviously sticks to its promise, and players will be able to officially enter the world of Sin City in November this year.
